As part of the documentation updates for revision 112 of dynamic tiering, we've revised the images in the installation and update guide to make it easier to find what you're looking for.
The Installing SAP HANA Dynamic Tiering topic has a new image showing the four different installation scenarios covered in the documentation. Decide whether you'd prefer to use the GUI or console interface for installation, then click one of the green icons to go straight to the instructions you need either to install a new system with both SAP HANA and dynamic tiering, or to add dynamic tiering to your existing SAP HANA system.
If you're updating from an earlier version of dynamic tiering, the Updating SAP HANA Dynamic Tiering topic covers the differences between the regular and optimized update methods. Once you've decided which method to use, click on it to go to the right section, where you'll find more images to guide you through the documentation.
Like installation, regular updates can be done with the GUI or the console, and you can update both SAP HANA and dynamic tiering at the same time, or just dynamic tiering if you've already updated SAP HANA.
The optimized update method updates the entire SAP HANA system at once, so all you need to decide with this method is whether to use the GUI or console to get started.
